Dan Levy's Anxiety Caused This Very Specific Physical Symptom

In an interview with Bustle, Dan Levy shared he's struggled with anxiety for years.

As a kid, the "Schitt's Creek" actor's anxiety caused iritis, inflammation in the eye, that his doctors thought could lead to blindness.

Levy also said his anxiety was in part caused by knowing he was gay but not being able to outwardly express his true identity. Theater and acting became his escape. Over time, however, he used acting to hide.

"Your sense of self gets chipped away. You lose sight of your own value."

— Dan Levy, Bustle

As Levy became more comfortable expressing his authentic self, he was able to work through managing his anxiety.
